Goldwynn Resort, the Bahamas' newest property and the first Bahamian member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World., opened its door this week, bringing another name to Cable Beach in Nassau, Bahamas.
The company says the new opening is an intimate, more modern retreat located on a stretch of pristine beaches on the north side of Nassau. It is a 15-minute drive from Linden Pindling International Airport and ten minutes from downtown Nassau.
The property features 81 residential-style accommodations ranging from studios to three bedrooms along with three separate Edge suites. One of the highlights is a three-bedroom Goldwynn Suite, which offers 1,940 sq. ft. of interior space, three balconies, and two terraces that offer a 270-degree ocean view.
For food and drink, the resort offers Amara, an open-air eatery on its infinity-pool deck; Matching, a light-fare and libation eatery with views of Cable Beach; and Atria, a casual hub that includes a five-story art installation by Bahamian master artist, Kishan Munro.
Another restaurant, the resort’s signature restaurant, will open in March—OIA, which will feature a fusion menu of MediterrAsian food rooted in Japanese traditions of preparation and presentation.
The resort will also open its spa, called the Rhizophora Spa, in March, featuring three treatment rooms, a nail salon, an outdoor cabana, and more.
"At Goldwynn Resort, we are dedicated to providing the best in-luxury service and an experience that mirrors a contemporary island-living philosophy," said Paul Wynn, of Wynn Hospitality, LTD, developer of Goldwynn Resort & Residences.
"Matched with our private yet prime location, guests are encouraged to immerse themselves and appreciate the aspects of Bahamian culture from cuisine and art to nature both on-property and within the surrounding destination."
