After securing government approval to enter the market last November, Azamara Club Cruises’s Cuban itineraries have taken off and the cruise line is adding four more sailings.

The sailings will all depart from Miami with an overnight call in Havana.

Azamara also announced today that it has added two other, maiden ports of call—Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba—to its Cuban offerings.

In a statement, Azamara president and CEO Larry Pimentel said that interest from both new and veteran Azamara cruisers has been “undeniable.”

“Destination Immersion is the heartbeat of our brand, so naturally we wanted to deliver authentic experiences in Cuba – from new ports to unique land discovery offerings – that truly bring the country’s rich history, culture and people to life,” he said.

At the moment, Azamara has six scheduled Cuba sailings for 2017 and 2018:

  • A 10-night roundtrip from Miami departing on Nov. 20, 2017
  • A four-night Miami roundtrip departing on Nov. 27, 2017.
  • An 11-night Miami to Costa Rica sailing departing on Jan. 4, 2018 that also visits the Panama Canal and Costa Rica.
  • A 10-night Miami to Havana sailing departing March 9, 2018 that features two overnights in Havana.
  • A seven-night Miami to Miami itinerary departing March 19, 2018.
  • A 10-night Miami to Miami sailing departing March 28, 2018 that features two overnights in Havana.

During the sailings, Azamara will offer a number of different shore excursions that meet U.S. people-to-people requirements for travel to Cuba. Those excursions include a visit to the Tropicana open air cabaret, a Nelson Dominguez art gallery tour and a visit to Hemingway’s Havana.

All sailings are now open for booking. Azamara is encouraging agents and guests to book early as “demand is high.”
