Crystal River Cruises Cancels Free Meals At Michelin Restaurants
by Daniel McCarthy /
Crystal River Cruises will no longer include a complimentary meal at an onshore Michelin-star restaurant in its all-inclusive pricing.
When it launched its river product last July, Crystal promised each guest a complimentary meal onshore as part of the All-Exclusive Crystal Experience. In Vienna, for example, guests could choose from among Le Ciel Restaurant, Edvard Restaurant, Konstantin Filippou or Tian Wien; in Budapest they could dine at Winekitchen or Costes.
Now, only penthouse and two-bedroom-suite passengers will be eligible. Others still can arrange meals through Crystal’s butler service, but will have to pay an additional fee.
Though the dinner is still advertised on the website, Crystal made the announcement of the change in a letter to travel agents this week. Guests who booked before August 7 will still get the free meal.
