Ultra-luxury cruise line Seabourn will launch a second ship back into service, this time in Barbados, starting this summer.
Seabourn Odyssey will sail 7-day sailings from Barbados to the Southern Caribbean starting on July 18. The ship will be the second Seabourn ship to resume service after Seabourn Ovation, which will resume guests operations in Greece on July 3.
Odyssey will sail weekly from Bridgetown to ports of call including Antigua, BVI, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and St. Kitts. Excursions will include Seabourn’s “Caviar in the Surf” at Carambola Beach and much more.
Each sailing will also include a day at sea.
The sailings will only be open to guests who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (14-days out from the first dose of a one-dose vaccine or the second dose of a two-dose vaccine). All guests will have to show proof of vaccination closer to time of departure and then again at the terminal prior to departure.
Seabourn’s onboard crew will also be fully vaccinated.
“We are grateful to be working in concert with the Government of Barbados to restart tourism in Barbados and the Caribbean Sea,” Josh Leibowitz, Seabourn president, said in a statement announcing the news.
“Safe travel is our priority, and placing vaccinations and other key public health travel protocols at the core of our cruise industry restart will not only restore traveler confidence but also offer comfort to visitors and Barbadians alike,” Sen. The Hon. Lisa Cummins, the Minister of Tourism and International Transport for Barbados said.
Bookings are now open. Seabourn is offering flexible cancellation terms with the bookings, as well.
