Young travel advisors looking to expand their capabilities within the industry have a new option for growth and development, the Travel A.L.L.I.E.S. Society Mentorship Program.
“This newest evolution will help take our organization to the next level in fulfilling our mission to elevate our industry and foster leadership,” said Jennifer Doncsecz, president of Travel A.L.L.I.E.S. Society. “The opportunity for positive mentors to help others advance their careers and business is so important and much needed. And, it is a two-way street, as the mentors also benefit through their engagement with some of the best and brightest young people in our industry.”
The six-month Mentorship Program is designed to engage, develop, promote, and inspire fellow travel professionals. The main component of the program is regular engagement with a Travel A.L.L.I.E.S. Society member through a combination of one-on-one conversations and periodic group sessions. Additional resources such as articles, conversation guides and discussion points on various topics are also available.
The program has four core objectives:
• Networking
• Career planning and navigation
• Fostering a reciprocal partnership with mutual learning opportunities
• Actionable learning that can be put into practice
Mentees for the first round of the program are set, but the organization will be taking applications from advisors who are part of ASTA’s Young Professionals Society in early December for the next round in 2023.
The Travel A.L.L.I.E.S. Society, which recently celebrate its one-year anniversary, is committed to developing leaders within the travel agency industry.
