Globus Offers Experiential Italy Packages
by Richard D'Ambrosio /As part of its 90th birthday celebration next year, Globus has added four new tours that it promises will take travelers "off-the-beaten-piazza and into undiscovered Italy."
The tours include the nine-day "Hidden Treasures of Southern Italy," which takes guests to Sorrento, the olive oil-rich region of Apulia, Bari, Alberobello and the caves of Castellana Grotte.
The 10-day "The Sicilian" covers Palermo, the Valley of the Temples, dating back to the 6th century BC, Agrigento and the IBLA district of Ragusa.
The eight-day "Gourmet Tuscany" includes the hillside town of Vinci, Lucca, where guest will visit the Palazzo Pfanner gardens, and the medieval village of Greve.
Finally, the eight-day "Apulia, The Heel of Italy" tour includes much of the Hidden Treasures tour, but adds in Florence and Fasano.
Globus is offering some airfare savings and 10% off select Italy packages for bookings made before Nov. 7, 2017.
