ARC Removes Avianca Brazil After Brazil Suspends Service

ARC has removed Brazilian carrier Avianca Brazil from its IAR, a week after the carrier had its operations suspended by Brazil’s civil aviation authority as a precautionary measure following the company’s bankruptcy filing last year.
According to ANAC, the civil aviation authority for Brazil, all of Avianca Brazil’s flights are suspended “until the company proves it has the capacity to maintain operations safely.”
Avianca Brazil said it would comply with local legislation, accomodating those with tickets on flights from other carriers or providing refunds.
