Agents Report Minimal Cancellations Despite Zika Outbreak
In a Travel Leaders Group survey of 1,000 travel agents released yesterday, a majority reported clients continuing with travel plans despite the Zika outbreak in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Almost three in four (74.1%) travel agents said no clients in their 20s and 30s have cancelled trips, and 89.8% said all clients in their 40s and 50s have kept their vacation plans unchanged.
The agency noted they were “a bit surprised” by the limited impact the Zika virus had on the majority of our clients’ travel plans.
