Air Canada Cancels Edmonton-London Nonstop, Inaugurates Seoul Route
Air Canada will no long fly non-stop between Edmonton and London, the airline announced on Sunday. The company cited the current economic environment in Alberta as the reason behind the decision. Air Canada reduced the service last year and is now officially canceling it for 2016. Domestic service to Edmonton will be increased to fill the gap, with capacity from Edmonton to Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto expected to increase.
Also on Sunday, the airline officially launched new service between Toronto and Delhi. The route is the only non-stop flight between Canada and Delhi and the first for the airline’s new Boeing 787-9 series aircraft, the most modern in its fleet. The route operates four times a week and will go daily next year.
