AmaWaterways Shows Off AmaMagna in Preview Video
by Daniel McCarthy /Travel agents can get a first look at AmaWaterways’ upcoming ship, AmaMagna, in a new video released by the river cruise line.
AmaMagna is scheduled to be almost twice the length of traditional river cruise ships, though it will only welcome 20 percent more guests than normal, giving each guest more space both in and outside of their cabins.
More than half of its 98 staterooms will be designed as suites, all featuring full outside balconies, open seating areas, and bathrooms with double-sinks and walk-in showers. Six of those suites will fall under AmaWaterways’ Grand Suite category (474-square-feet) and one will be an Owner’s Suite (710-square-feet) that includes a separate seating area and bathrooms with a spa-like tub.
For dining, AmaMagna will offer three different venues aside from its main dining room—The Chef’s Table Restaurant, a staple of other AmaWaterways ships; Al Fresco Restaurant; and Jimmy’s Wine Bar Restaurant, which was named in honor of Jimmy Murphy, the legendary tour operator who was an original founder of AmaWaterways.
