Amadeus Unveils New Version of E-Commerce Solution
by Michele McDonald /Amadeus rolled out a new version of its e-Power e-commerce solution for travel agents, including a new starter package designed for single-site, small and medium-size agencies.
Amadeus said e-Power offers an easy path to the online world, enabling agents to serve customers around the clock and attract new revenue sources.
It incorporates the same low-fare search functionality used by some of the largest online travel companies and offers the building blocks to help agents increase sales revenues, such as cross selling, negotiated fares, packaging features and service fees.
Among the new features are quicker search and booking flows; flight and hotel packaging functionality; a “pin and compare” feature for air, car and hotel searches, and new user interface customization tools.
The new version can also be integrated within any existing website, regardless of size and complexity.
Three versions
Three versions are currently available in the U.S. and Canada:
• Amadeus e-Power Starter package, a new version that delivers fast results for schedule- and fare-driven air search. It also enables air and hotel searches to be combined in one package, delivers detailed hotel and car searches and enables the easy addition of service markups.
• Amadeus e-Power Premium package, a highly customizable solution best suited for medium to large online travel agencies. In addition to the Starter package features, it offers an improved graphical user experience and is configurable to specific business logic.
• Amadeus e-Power Consolidator, designed specifically for the needs of consolidators, consortia and distributors with a sales network of mostly remote sub-agents selling, advising and servicing both leisure and business travelers.
Amadeus is offering introductory pricing of the Starter package for new customers in the U.S. and Canada.
