Anderson Retires As Delta Chairman

Richard H. Anderson retired as executive chairman of Delta Air Lines. Lead director Francis S. Blake will succeed him as Delta’s non-executive chairman. Blake, the former chairman and chief executive officer of The Home Depot, joined Delta’s board in July 2014.
Anderson became a director in April 2007 when the airline emerged from bankruptcy. He was appointed chief executive officer in August 2007 and became executive chairman in May 2016 when he retired as CEO.
Anderson served as CEO of Northwest Airlines from 2001 to 2004. Northwest and Delta merged in 2008.
