Attack On Ivory Coast Resort Hotels Kills 18
Militants killed at least 18 people when they stormed three beach resort hotels in southern Ivory Coast Sunday and opened fire.
The popular resorts—L’Etoile du Sud, the Wharf Hotel, and Koral Beach—in Grand Bassam attract both foreigners and locals. Four French nationals and a German national were among the victims, officials say, but the nationalities of the others were not disclosed.
Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) took responsibility for the attack.
