The Americans haven’t even begun to arrive in real numbers, and already Cuba finds itself running low on one vital staple. Beer is in such high demand the breweries are unable to keep up.
The country's main brewer, Bucanero, a joint venture between the Cuban government and Belgium’s Anheuser Busch InBev, said it will have to import three million cases of beer from Dominica to meet the demand from stores and restaurants.
Bucanero produces four Cuban beer brands: Cacique, Mayabe, Cristal, and Bucanero.
