Brand USA Reauthorization Clears Senate Committee
The Senate Commerce Committee today approved the Travel Promotion, Enhancement, and Modernization Act of 2014, which would reauthorize Brand USA, the public-private partnership dedicated to increasing inbound international travel to the U.S. The measure passed the committee by unanimous voice vote. The House of Representatives approved a companion bill on July 22 by a vote of 347 to 57. U. S. Travel Association CEO Roger Dow and other industry leaders called on the Senate to immediately bring the legislation to the floor for approval." Brand USA was originally established in 2010 with the enactment the bipartisan Travel Promotion Act.
