Brendan, A&K Expand 2013 Itinerary Lineups

Brendan Adds to North and Central America Packages
For 2013, Brendan Vacations has updated its vacation packages in North and Central America. Additions in the U.S. include the nine-day Canyon Country Jamboree, from $1,795 per person based on double occupancy; the 10-day Florida’s Sunshine Trail from $2,295 per person and the 11-day New York Zest and New England’s Best trip from $2,975 per person. New offerings abroad include the eight-day Panama, The Canal & Beyond itinerary starting at $1,725.

A&K Enhances Its Small Group Journeys, Holds the Line on Price
Abercrombie & Kent will add new amenities to its Luxury Small Group Journeys in 2013, while maintaining prices at this year’s level, or lower, on more than 75% of its programs. The firm has added several new itineraries for 2013, including a trip to Bhutan and Nepal, and to Iceland, Greenland and Norway. New amenities for A&K’s Small Group Journeys include complimentary Internet access at most hotels; new group extensions, many with guaranteed departures, and A&K’s Traveling Bell Boy service, where guests leave their bags in their rooms when they depart a hotel and find them waiting in their room at their next hotel that evening.

Six New A&K Itineraries: From Croatia to the Arctic
A&K will offer six new itineraries in 2013. They are the Zambia & Botswana Wildlife Safari; Images of Indochina & Angkor Wat; Myanmar’s Burmese Heritage; Bhutan & Nepal: Heart of the Himalayas; Treasures of Croatia, and Arctic Cruise Adventure: Polar Bear Country.

Tauck Adds Small Ship Cruises . . .
Tauck will increase its small ship ocean cruise departures in 2013 by 16% in response to heightened demand. Sales for 2013 small ship ocean cruise departures are running 50% ahead of last year, and 120% ahead of two years ago, said CEO Dan Mahar. In 2013, Tauck will again offer 10 ocean itineraries; destinations include Italy, Greece, the Dalmatian Coast, Turkey, Iceland, Scandinavia, Antarctica, Central America and the Galapagos Islands. Paul Gauguin Cruise’s m/v Tere Moana, currently under renovation, will sail next year on Tauck’s Panama Canal & Costa Rica cruise. The Wind Star and Wind Spirit will be used on Tauck’s Aegean cruises, and the Isabella II and m/v Santa Cruz in the Galapagos.

. . .  and Deletes Single Supplements on Europe River Cruises
Tauck eliminated the single supplement for Category 1 cabins on all 14 departures of its 2013 European river cruises. Besides eliminating single supplements on river cruises, Tauck is adding a 10-day family river cruise for 2013 in France on the Rhone with a two-day Paris stay.

Perillo Adds Italian Culinary Tour
Perillo Tours will launch “Mangia e Bevi” this fall, a new 10-day Italian food and wine tour. The itinerary includes stays in Rome, Siena and Bologna and visits to Chianti, Parma, San Gimignano, Modena and Florence. Pricing, from Oct. 11, 2012 to  Feb. 14, 2013, starts at $2,490 per person, double occupancy, and includes most meals, wine tasting, first-class accommodations and more. All costs are included except for gratuity for guides and international airfare. The group tours will range from 20 to 40 people in size and guests will travel in deluxe motor coaches.

Europetoo Details Jewish Heritage Tour
Europetoo announced a Jewish Heritage tour limited to 20 participants that will visit Warsaw, Krakow, Budapest and Prague. The program includes ten nights hotel accommodations, a flight from Budapest to Prague with Czech Airlines, limited inclusive dining, guided sightseeing and a choice of hotel plans. Dates include Aug. 6 to 16, Sept. 3 to 13 and Oct. 15 to 25.
