Broadway-Inspired Hotel Debuts In Times Square
by Jessica Montevago /
Inspired by the Great White Way, Real Hospitality Group on Tuesday opened the Hotel Shocard in New York’s Times Square.
The hotel’s designers used Broadway, as well as the 60s and 70s, as its muse. Pops of yellow running throughout the property are based on glowing marquees, while the name of the hotel is inspired by the cards that once advertised Broadway shows.
All 45 rooms feature floorboards inspired by Broadway stages, custom-made furniture from Italy, full-length mirrors, and custom LED lighting.
The hotel has two penthouse suites with private outdoor spaces for groups, and a restaurant that serves craft beers, cocktails, and American cuisine.
Opening rates range from $149 to $899 a night.
Real Hospitality Group’s portfolio includes 64 hotel properties in cities including New York, Philadelphia, Miami, and Boston.
