Carnival Corp. CEO Arnold Donald will serve as the Cruise Lines International Association’s (CLIA) new global chair, effective Jan. 1, 2017.
Donald will replace Royal Caribbean Cruises president and COO Adam M. Goldstein, who has held the position since January 2015. Goldstein will assume the role of chairman of the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association starting Jan. 1, 2017.
In a statement, Donald said CLIA’s role in an ever-evolving cruise industry is “more important than ever” and that he hopes the organization will “act as a singular voice and advocate on behalf of the entire global cruise community.”
