Carey Steps Down From Outrigger Hotels
W. David P. Carey III will step down as the head of Hawaii-based Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, a position he’s held for more than 30 years, the company announced today.
KSL Resorts co-founder and CEO Scott Dalecio will take over as president. Carey will stay on and serve on Outrigger’s advisory board and focus on development, community relations and strategic growth.
KSL purchased Outrigger and its portfolio of 37 hotels, condominiums and vacation resort properties last December. It plans to reinvest upward of $100 million over the next few years to improve its hotels and resorts.
