Carnival Cancels Three Sailings After Hurricane Harvey Forces Delays

by Daniel McCarthy

Carnival Valor, Freedom and Breeze will remain in New Orleans through Wednesday due to damage done in Texas by Hurricane Harvey, and none of the three ships will sail their next scheduled itineraries.

All three ships, which would currently be sailing their next scheduled itineraries had Hurricane Harvey missed Texas, are expected back at Port of Galveston once it reopens, though there is no timetable from the Port.

Guests on those ships have the option to disembark at New Orleans and arrange travel home, though Carnival said that not all guests are opting to disembark.

Passengers booked on those cruises will get a full refund along with a future cruise credit to be used within the next 60 days.
