Carnival Cruise Line’s Fantasy will continue to sail out of Mobile, Ala. through December 2018, as the cruise line announced on Monday it had picked up the first option on its 2015 contract with the port.
Fantasy began sailing out of Mobile last year and has since generated more than $4.7 million in gross revenue, according to the City of Mobile Cruise Terminal. That number is expected to reach more than $6.4 million over a full calendar year.
Fantasy is schedule to sail a variety of itineraries out of Mobile over the next year. The sailings, which range from four-nights to 10-nights, all stop in Mexican Riviera ports such as Cozumel, Roatan and Puerto Limon.
