Carnival Revises Splendor Itinerary Due To Propulsion Problems
by Daniel McCarthy /
Carnival Cruise Line has been forced to cancel scheduled calls by Splendor at St. Thomas and Amber Cove due to ongoing propulsion issues with the ship.
According to a statement by the cruise line, the issues, which first came up last week, are still being worked on by Carnival’s technical team.
This week’s seven-day Caribbean itinerary out of Miami, which departed Sunday, will now include an overnight stay in Nassau and a full day in Freeport instead of the St. Thomas and Amber Cove calls.
Carnival is offering all guests a 50% refund of their cruise fare and a 50% future cruise credit, along with $100 per person in shipboard credits. Guests who wanted to cancel were allowed to do so without penalty.
