Classic Vacations Launches Canada Program

Firm Promotes New Canada Offering With 15% Pay
Classic Vacations has launched Classic Canada, a new selection of high-end hotels, transfers, tours and air in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. Co-president Greg Bernd cited growing demand from travel agents. Among high-end hotels on offer are 14 Fairmont properties and two Four Seasons properties. As part of the launch, Classic is offering travel sellers 15% commission on 22 of the new Canadian hotels in 2012.

Cox & Kings Names Travel Agent Advisory Board
Cox & Kings, the Americas, has created a new travel agent advisory board and named 15 agents to serve on the board. The agents represent an array of consortia, geographic regions, agency size and experience in the industry.
 
Pleasant Holidays Appoints BDM
Kristin Romitti will serve as Pleasant Holidays’ new business development manager for the greater New England area. Her territory will include Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Connecticut. She will help travel agents develop sales and marketing strategies for growing their FIT and group business with Pleasant Holidays and Journese.

Trafalgar Intros France, Italy & Morocco Itineraries
Three new itineraries to France, Italy and Morocco are included in Trafalgar’s new 2012/13 Autumn, Winter & Spring Europe brochure. New options include the nine-day Paris & Rome tour; 10-day Best of Morocco journey; and 10-day Wonderful France. In total the collection features 33 itineraries, visiting 18 European countries.
 
Rocky Mountaineer to Debut Seattle-Vancouver Route in 2013
Rocky Mountaineer will debut a new Coastal Passage route connecting Seattle and Vancouver in August 2013. The Coastal Passage journey is the company’s fifth rail route and the first that departs from the U.S. The itinerary was designed with Alaska cruisers in mind, so that those embarking or disembarking in Seattle could also spend time in the Western Canada and the Canadian Rockies. In 2013, the Coastal Passage will be offered Aug. 24 and 25 only, both northbound and southbound, with packages allowing for stays in Seattle, Vancouver and the resort towns of Banff or Jasper.

Insight Unveils 2012/13 Europe Itineraries
Insight Vacations unveiled its 2012/13 fall, winter and spring Europe journeys. On offer are Christmas market itineraries, as well as three new tours: the 10-day Rome to London journey, 9- or 12-day Sicily in Depth with Malta Option; and 10-day Highlights of Spain.

Pacific Delight Goes Off-The-Beaten Path in India
Pacific Delight Tours is expanding its India portfolio with two new escorted tours. The 13-day Inspirational India explores some of the country’s holiest places, while the 15-day India Cultural & Safari Experience offers cultural experiences, plus visits to the Ranthambore National Park. Both tours begin in Delhi and feature visits to Raj Ghat, the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque; and Agra, home to the Taj Mahal.
