Coast Guard Suspends Search for Missing Pearl Passenger
On Saturday, the Coast Guard announced that it had suspended its search for the missing Norwegian Pearl cruise passenger. Officials said that the woman, a 24-year-old resident of South Carolina, intentionally went overboard about 20 miles off the coast of Cuba. According to the Coast Guard, it searched more than 1,300 sqauare nautical miles before ending at around 11 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The ship was hosting a five-day EDM music festival called "Mad Decent Boat Party." left the Port of Miami on Thursday and was scheduled to stop in Cozumel before returning to Miami on Sunday.
