Computer Glitch Leaves Thousands Stranded at Charlotte Douglas

Thousands of American Airlines passengers were stranded on Friday after the airline was forced to cancel hundreds of flights because of a “technical issue” with PSA Airlines, an America regional carrier.
“Our team, in coordination with PSA, is working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” American said in a statement on Friday. “PSA plans to resume their operations at 12 p.m. ET on June 15.”
Though operations returned to normal at noon, thousands of passengers at North Carolina’ Charlotte Douglas International Airport were left stranded as American tried to accommodate them on mainline flights or flights with other airlines.
