Sicily is hot right now. But even hotter might be Noto, a baroque city on the southeastern tip of the Italian island, and lovingly featured in the current summer issue of Conde Nast Traveler.
The feature was written by editor in chief Pilar Guzman, who described Noto as “a little less raucous and touristy” than popular cities like Taorimina. Guzman highlighted the region’s “concentration of sleepy hilltop towns, accessible Greek ruins, and unspoiled beaches all within a 17-mile radius.”
The magazine is trumpeting the feature in a recently taped 18-minute Facebook video posted on its page June 15. In the video, Guzman and creative director Yolanda Edwards discuss how Guzman’s trip to Noto and the region came about, and dive deeper into their experiences visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
