Corporate Travel Average Salary Hits $110K
Corporate travel buyers’ salaries are up 5% in the past year, to an average $110,000, says a new survey of 285 U.S. buyers by the Global Business Travel Association.
The number reinforces the findings of the Business Travel News “Travel Manager Salary & Attitude Survey,” released in July, which found an average of $114,769.
Corporate travel managers at smaller companies earn less than those at large ones, of course, averaging $82,000 at companies whose travel spend is less than $10 million, while those in the $10 million to $50 million tier earn an average $117,000. Companies in the Northeast pay the most, an average $118,000, and the Southeast pays least, $96,000.
Still, it’s a good career path, it seems, and three out of four corporate travel buyers (77%) are happy with what they earn.
