Crystal Partners With Peninsula For AirCruises Inaugural

The inaugural journey of Crystal AirCruises ultra-luxury Boeing 777 jet will be made even more luxurious through a partnership with Peninsula Hotels, Crystal CEO Edie Rodriguez and vice president of sales for the Peninsula Hotels Simon Yip said in New York last week.
Crystal will fly its first 27-day AirCruise from New York to Paris, stopping in 10 cities—New York, Chicago, Beverly Hills, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok and Paris—with stays in Peninsula Hotels in each city along the way.
Guests on the AirCruise will be treated to a seamless transition between Peninsula hotels; they will only need one room key to enter each hotel in every city along the way.
In each city, guests will be welcomed with local activities including special galas, a private party on the Great Wall of China and a special Loy Krathong “Festival of Lights” celebration in Bangkok. Guests will get to take part in The Peninsula’s iconic afternoon tea experience in each city, as well.
“We couldn’t imagine a more perfect partner than Crystal,” Yip said. Yip also called the partnership the coming together of “two brands that epitomize the high of luxury.”
Peninsula will also have a presence in the air. The hotel company will provide menus onboard flights between the cities, along with its branded champagne, and four Peninsula Hotels general managers will come along to provide destination insight.
The inside of the Aircruise will feature Peninsula champagne.
While the partnership just covers the first of Crystal’s AirCruises, both Rodriguez and Yip said the partnership could be renewed for future voyages. The inaugural voyage starts at $159,000.
