In a ceremony in Rüdesheim, German on Sunday, Crystal River Cruises christened the first of its four new Rhine Class river ships, Crystal Bach.

Crystal CEO and president Edie Rodriguez was joined by Bach’s godmother, German-Canadian opera star Anna-Maria Kaufmann, Crystal entertainer Mark Farris and Genting Hong Kong chairman and CEO Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay to officially welcome Bach into service.

“We had the opportunity to go beyond the best and create a luxury river cruise experience that is truly unprecedented,” Rodriguez said at the ceremony.

Bach enters Crystal’s fleet as the only all-balcony, all-suite river cruise ship in service. It will offer suites with panoramic balconies, walk-in closets, dual vanity bathrooms and Nespresso machines. Guests will enjoy meals inspired by the region they are sailing, whether it be the Rhine, Danube or Main Rivers, all tailored by Crystal’s team of European chefs.
