Crystal To Offer Locally Inspired Meals On Bach
by Daniel McCarthy /
When Crystal River Cruises kicks off Crystal Bach’s inaugural season in August, guests will be welcomed to enjoy food and flavors from around European.
Each meal will be inspired by the region Bach sails in, whether it be the Rhine, Danube or Main Rivers. The meals will be tailored by Crystal’s team of European chefs.
Offerings will include fish from Holland, fruits and vegetables from Germany, meat and poultry from farmers in Bavaria and local beer and cheese. Coffees and teas by Vienna-based Julius Meinl, sturgeon caviar from Eindhoven and river crawfish from the Rhine will also be offered.
According to senior vice president of hotel operations Toni Neumeister, the culinary options are “meant to inspire travelers to discover more about the world they explore.”
Bach, which was originally scheduled to debut on June 18, will now sail on August 13. It will offer all-suite accommodations and will sail Rhine and Main itineraries between Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Basel.
