Cyclone Forces Royal Caribbean, Carnival Cruise Line To Alter Itineraries
by Daniel McCarthy /
Tropical Cyclone Cook’s path over the South Pacific’s Vanuata islands has forced two cruise lines to alter ongoing itineraries.
Royal Caribbean will skip a Voyager of the Seas call to the Isles of Pines in New Caledonia on Monday, taking a day at sea instead.
The storm also forced Carnival Cruise Line to drop Monday’s Carnival Spirit call to Noumea and Tuesday’s call to Isles of Pines. The ship spent Monday at Sea and will now call at Moreton Island on Tuesday.
Both cruise lines said that the decisions were made to ensure guest safety.
