Carnival Corp’s social-impact brand Fathom is adding two additional Cuban sailings for fall 2016 because of “strong pent-up demand by travelers,” the cruise line said.
Fathom will sail seven-day cruises to Cuba during the weeks of Oct. 9 and Nov. 6 instead of the originally scheduled cruises to the Dominican Republic. Both sailings are now open for booking.
According to president Tara Russell, the decision was made because of traveler demand—Fathom’s Cuba sailings for 2016 are almost sold out and there is “extremely strong demand for 2017,” she said.
Sailings leave out of Miami and stop in Havana, Cienfuego and Santiago de Cuba. Prices start at $1,599 per person.
