Florida Looks to Attract Canadian Travelers with New Deals Program
by Kerry Tice /VISIT FLORIDA has launched a marketing campaign to attract more Canadian visitors to the Sunshine State during the winter months, from January through March.
The two-month campaign was strategically unveiled in November – traditionally an important planning month for potential visitors. Elements of the marketing effort include murals and digital columns in Toronto’s Union Station; digital billboards and towers in Yonge-Dundas Square and the underground transit networks in Toronto and Montreal; and partnership programs with The Weather Network, Air Canada Vacations, and Expedia. The campaign also includes a Florida deals program featuring offers from Air Canada, Air Canada Vacations, Hertz/Dollar Car Rental, and 23 Florida destination partners.
