Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America became one of the first victims of this year’s hurricane season when it was forced to skip two port calls this week.
Pride of America will skip Kailua Kona and Kauai and instead spend a day at sea and another on the Na Pali coast, as Hurricane Madeline heads towards Hawaii.
The Central Pacific Hurricane Center already has issued advisories for Madeline, which is expected to cause winds of up to 90 mph.
Last week, Royal Caribbean made adjustments to two of its itineraries because of tropical storms in the Caribbean. Oasis of the Seas and Freedom of the Seas were both forced to skip stops in St. Thomas with the storms on the horizon.
