Iberostar Enters U.S. Market With Two Hotels
by Jessica Montevago /Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is expanding its global footprint with two new hotels in the United States.
The Spanish hotelier will open its first U.S. property next month in New York City, followed by a Miami Beach hotel to debut later this year.
The 205-room New York hotel will open its doors June 15. The 16-story building was redeveloped from an eight-decade-old building on Park Avenue and East 38th Street. The hotel will have multiple dining options, including Silverleaf Coffee & Tea and Silverleaf Tavern.
The Miami Beach property, the 96-room Iberostar Berkley, will be in a 1940s art-deco building.
Iberostar’s portfolio includes more than 100 hotels in over a dozen countries, including Brazil, Mexico, and Jamaica.
