JetBlue and JetSuiteX are tightening their commercial relationship with the former making a minority investment in the latter, which launched service earlier this year. TrueBlue members already were able to earn points when flying with JetSuiteX, which is flying Embraer regional jets with 30 seats instead of 36, and using private jet terminals to avoid the hassles of the main terminal. Customers need to check in only 15 minutes before the flight and get free WiFi, checked bags, seat assignments, drinks and snacks. The JetSuiteX network includes Las Vegas and Bozeman MT, as well as Burbank, San Jose, Carlsbad, Concord and Mammoth, CA.
"We are delighted to have JetBlue join us as a strategic partner and shareholder. The partnership with JetBlue will allow us to accelerate our growth and we are excited to work together to deliver new and unique experiences for all JetSuite and JetBlue customers," said Alex Wilcox, chief executive officer, JetSuite.
“JetBlue and JetSuite share a passion for delivering a high-quality customer experience at a competitive price point in underserved markets,” said Robin Hayes, president and chief executive officer, JetBlue. “Our investment in JetSuite makes sense as we continue to execute on our West Coast plan and invest in innovative ideas that reflect the disruptive spirit of JetBlue.”
JetSuite Inc. is among the largest private jet companies in the United States providing charter and scheduled-service flights. Its private jet charter service was launched in 2009.
