Liberty Travel Building Host Agent Network

Liberty Travel announced this week that it is launching a “turnkey” host agency network program.
The company said it will offer “industry-leading commissions on sales and up to a 90 percent commission split,” as well as exclusive hotel, air, cruise and tour package deals from its Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) parent company.
In a press statement, Liberty said agreements will have “no hidden fees” and “agents will never be charged for ticketing, invoicing, customer service, or sales and support.”
Independent by Liberty Travel will offer “tech support to marketing collateral, sales and operational support and financial services and more. The details and backend teams are in place to make this turnkey and stress-free for agents,” said Montvale, New Jersey-based Liberty Travel.
Online education seminars will begin this spring, the company said.
“Today’s mobile lifestyle has people living, socializing and working in all corners of the globe. It comes as no surprise that travel agents – with their deep passion for exploration and desire to deliver first-hand knowledge of as many places as possible – are the most mobile in their careers,” said Dean Smith, president, FCTG, the Americas.
“With today’s increasing fluidity in where we can work from – home, airplanes, coffee shops and beyond – and the need for flexibility and entrepreneurship, the advent of Independent by Liberty Travel lends itself to work-life balance that is relevant to both consultants and the customers they are servicing.”
James N. Bovino, brand leader, Independent by Liberty Travel noted how travel disruptions are generating greater demand for agents. “During travel disruptions due to weather or global events, those who use a travel agent are seamlessly re-routed and rebooked, often before they are even aware their flight was canceled. Those who go it alone can attest to being on hold for hours and then often turn to travel consultants to help with next steps. This network addresses a growing need for the expertise to navigate vacation planning before, during and after,” he said.
In its press statement, Liberty said it believes its host agency is “a wonderful option for those with an established book of business,” as well as “those looking for a career change” and travel enthusiasts.
“Whether new to or re-entering the work force, or shaking things up, Independent by Liberty Travel is welcoming applicants at all levels,” the company said.
