Luxury Gold Supports Women Through the Arts
In honor of International Women's Day, guests traveling with Luxury Gold have the opportunity to meet women doing heritage based work across the globe. The brand supports these women in partnership with The Travel Corporation’s TreadRight Foundation through its small grants program for artisan enterprises.
On select itineraries, travelers can learn about the projects supported by Luxury Gold Cares and TreadRight. On Treasure of the Incas, for example, they can meet with Nilda Callañaupa Alvarez in Peru, an indigenous Quechua weaver, or Marta Cucchia, on La Serenissima, teaches the art of Perugia-style of weaving in Italy. The Trans-Canadian Grandeur journey allows clients to meet with female elders at the Manitobah Mukluks Storyboot School as they teach the traditional art of mukluk and moccasin-making.
