MSC Cruises Announces New Booking Engine
FORT LAUDERDALE -- MSC Cruises USA will launch MSC Book, a new booking engine for travel agents, in June. The redesigned interface will allow travel agents to make a booking in four steps on a new web portal featuring quick fare quotes and customized profiles for clients. An interactive deckplan is available for the first time, along with 360-degree views of all staterooms.
"This is revolutionary for us," said Ken Muskat, MSC Cruises' vice president of sales, speaking at cruise3sixty here. "You can now save what a client is interested in under their name; you can then go back later and find the itinerary they were interested in to save time."
The new booking engine can also manage groups seamlessly and send e-tickets to clients through the site. MSC Cruises will embark on an 18-city roadshow beginning in June to educate agents on the new platform. CLIA credits will be available for agents who attend training sessions.
