Meliá Hotels International Launches Travel Agent Portal

by Jessica Montevago

Meliá Hotels International introduced an all-new online B2B portal, MeliáPro, providing travel professionals with flexible management and control of their bookings.

Designed for travel agents, meeting and event organizers, and tour operators, MeliáPro offers access to exclusive savings, an easy-to-use system for reviewing hotels, and best possible rates and real-time room availability.

Travel agents who make bookings for their clients through MeliáPro will receive instant commissions, as well as guaranteeing the best rate for their customers. The portal has already registered more than 100,000 travel agents and increased sales by more than 15 per cent this year, according to Meliá Hotels.

MeliáPro also allows event organisers to submit RFPs, manage costs and create websites for each event, allowing attendees to make direct bookings.

The Spain-based company has also created the MeliaPro Rewards loyalty program, offering exclusive discounts on travel professionals’ personal bookings. It also gives them the ability to earn and redeem points for stays and products.
