Miami Is Out Among Brits This Summer But Asians Head To Honolulu, Survey Says

British travelers have scratched Miami off their list of top destinations this summer, says a new survey from travel marketing company Sojern. But Honolulu is a new top-five favorite of Asian travelers.
The Q2 Global Travel Insights report, based on searches and other “traveler intent data” from 350 million travelers, Miami has dropped off the top five long-haul destinations list for summer 2017 holidays.
Marrakech and Denpasar are hot long-haul destinations for the Europeans. U.S. travelers are showing interest in Seattle for domestic travel this summer, while Guadalajara in Mexico has newly joined the list of top five international destinations.
“American travel marketers need a solid strategy to engage European travelers and drive the searches and bookings they enjoyed previously,” the report said. “Sojern recommends employing top of the funnel engagement strategies to keep your brand visible during the exploration phase, such as using Facebook ads with striking imagery and video of your destination or travel experience to build brand awareness as well as likes and shares to spread your message.”
