Millennials, More Than Others, Put National Parks On Bucket List
Add the National Parks to the destinations at the top of the wish list for Millennials, as the National Parks Service’s centennial this year causes a surge of interest from all generations.
According to a recent AAA survey, 46% of Millennials say they are more likely to visit a national park in the next year, more than either Generation X or Baby Boomers.
According to the National Park Service, the most visited parks in 2015 were Great Smoky Mountains, Grand Canyon and Rocky Mountain. AAA’s survey said the top parks that Americans want to visit are: Yellowstone (33%), Yosemite (17%) and Grand Canyon (12%). The majority of Americans (66%) typically stay in a hotel, motel or lodge when visiting a national park, AAA said. Twenty-seven percent stay in a bed and breakfast.
