More Than 20 Injured in Possible London Tube Terrorism Attack
by Richard D'Ambrosio /
London police this morning are pursuing leads to track down subjects associated with an explosion that injured at least 22 morning commuters on a crowded Underground train.
Some of the injured suffered burns while others were hurt in a stampede to escape the station. The London ambulance service told the local news media that none of the injuries were thought to be serious.
The London police were treating the event, which they believe included an improvised explosive device, at the Parsons Green tube station as a "terrorist incident." The station is to the south and west of the main tourism region of London, close to Earl’s Court.
Transport for London said service on the western part of the District Line, which runs through Parsons Green, was temporarily suspended.
The incident is the fifth terrorism attack in Britain this year.
