Nashville International To Get An Upgrade
by Daniel McCarthy /Nashville International Airport will undergo a $1 billion upgrade over the next five to seven years.
The renovation will bring new parking, more security lines, and larger baggage claim and ticketing areas. Also, for the first time, visitors will be able to stay on premises as a new airport hotel is expected to be constructed.
A new central terminal hall also will be added.
A record 12.2 million people came through Nashville during the fiscal year ending June 30, and Airport Authority president and CEO Rob Wigington said that number will grow to more than 20 million by 2035.
