New Artifacts Discovered In Jerusalem
by Anna Gleksman /In a land famous for its ancient artifacts, Israeli archeaologists last week announced the discovery of the earliest known houses ever found in ancient Jerusalem, dating back more than 7,000 years.
The discovery occurred as a result of a new road being built in a Jerusalem neighborhood known as Shuafat.
The archeologists found two houses, complete with stone floors and well-preserved artifacts, such as pottery vessels, flint tools, and a stone bowl, that are characteristic of the Chalcolithic era.
