Paris Produces Short Film To Boost Visits

The City of Paris has produced a short film designed to attract more visitors to return to the city, where tourism has been impacted by recent terrorist events.

Famed French director Jalil Lespert has produced a film tour of the French capital set to the music “Just Need Your Love,” by Nice-based French band Hyphen Hyphen. The 2.5 -minute film “reveals Paris through its monuments, shops, gastronomy and also its hidden treasures and Parisians, on café terraces and along the Canal Saint-Martin,” the Paris Convention & Visitors Bureau said.

“Paris is a unique and magical city for so many reasons, whether because of its culture, fashion, gastronomy,” said Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo. “We are resolutely determined to reaffirm Paris’s vocation to welcome visitors from all over the world. Paris, a resilient city, has known how to bounce back and today invites you to come and discover an innovative and vibrant city. Paris will always be Paris.”

According to the Paris CVB, tourism accounts for more than 13% of the city’s GDP and 500,000 jobs across the region.

The film will be shown on Air France flights and in Galeries Lafayette stores, as well as at airports, including Paris, Milan, Shanghai, Tokyo, New York, Berlin and Beijing.
