Princess Cruises this week unveiled its 2020 schedule of Alaska cruises, and it includes eight ships with 11 different itineraries, along with 25 unique cruisetours.
The sailings, which go on sale on Nov. 15, will run May through September in 2020. The journeys include 14-day “Inside Passage” voyages from Los Angeles on Golden Princess, which will take guests from Los Angeles through Puget Sound and into British Columbia before arriving at the Gulf of Alaska, where they will see the Hubbard Glacier.
Ruby Princess and Emerald Princess will also sail “Inside Passage” itineraries, with seven-day trips out of Seattle; and Star Princess will sail a 10-day version out of San Francisco.
Also on the schedule is Royal Princess, which the cruise line says is the largest ship sailing in the Gulf of Alaska. Royal Princess will sail a seven-day “Voyage of the Glaciers” itinerary; as will other Princess ships, including Grand Princess, Coral Princess, and Pacific Princess.
To compliment those sailings, Princess is offering a catalog of cruisetours, including some rail journeys that are combined with stays at Princess-owned lodges. For 2020, the brand is introducing a new, 17-night “Ultimate Cruisetour” that includes 10 nights on land and two nights at each Princess Wilderness Lodge.
"Alaska is a must-see destination and our 2020 cruises and cruisetours provide first-timers or repeat visitors so many options to see and discover Alaska. I guarantee they will come back with some of their best lifetime travel experiences and memories,” Princess President Jan Swartz said in a statement.
