Remnants of Erika Headed for Florida
Despite news that Tropical Storm Erika had dissipated, Florida Governor Rick Scott is still warning residents to prepare for its arrival and potential heavy rainfall. Erika, which is no longer categorized as a tropical storm, might still hit South Florida early Monday morning. The storm has been unpredictable and difficult to track in its path towards the U.S., according to meteorologists. Gov. Scott said the National Guard is ready to mobilized 8,000 individuals if needed and residents should still be prepared with water, food, and hurricane kits. Most warnings from cruise lines departing on Sunday had been cancelled.
