Tropical Storm Matthew, which has already caused airports in Barbados and St. Lucia to close this week, has forced two Royal Caribbean ships to change course.
Both Allure of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas will skip scheduled calls because of Matthew.
Allure, which was scheduled to stop in St. Thomas and St. Maarten, will instead visit the cruise company’s private island in Labadee and Falmouth.
Adventure, which was scheduled to visit St. Lucia and Barbados before spending a day at sea, will now call at St. Maarten, St. Croix and St. Thomas.
According to the National Hurricane Center, Matthew is currently bringing winds of 60 mph to parts of the Caribbean. Tropical Storm Warnings have been issued for Martinique, Guadeloupe, St. Lucia, Barbados, Dominica, and St. Vincent and the Grenadine Islands.
