Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines will keep the Ovation of the Seas in Australia for four extra cruises during the 2016-2017 season.
Then the Ovation will come back to Australia for summer 2017 because of “extraordinary demand,” said Adam Armstrong, managing director of Royal Caribbean Australasia, with over 90% of the cabins already sold.
“She is a true game-changer,” Armstrong said.
When the Ovation—Royal’s first ship built specifically for the Asia Pacific market—officially debuts in June, she will homeport in Beijing for the inaugural China season, and then reposition to Australia, sailing a maiden Aussie season out of Sydney.
Full details on Ovation’s itineraries will be released later this month.
